Come to a Play Full event

Play Full Theatre offers opportunities for emerging artists to develop their skills by creating work together in a collaborative environment. We produce events that showcase new writing, non-traditional theatre and interactive performances, and fostering relationships between emerging creatives. From scratch nights to open mics, these are fun and informal events for anyone who loves theatre. Hope to see you at one  soon!

Play Full: A Scratch Night

Our first Play Full scratch night of 2024 will be heading to Civic House on 29 April. Join us for a curated night of new works written, directed, and performed by Scotland based artists. Take the opportunity to share your thoughts with our writers and network with industry professionals. Come and be a part of the creative process as we celebrate the talents of emerging artists in the theatre world. We look forward to seeing you there!

Past Events

Play Full's 1st Birthday Party

On January 30th we celebrated the one year anniversary of our first event! We caught up with old friends and made new connections during our creative mixer party games at Dram in Glasgow.

 

Play Full: Fringe Test Night

July 13th offered a sneak peek at some of the fantastic work being created locally for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023 in the Brian Cox Studio Theatre at The Boardwalk (Impact Arts).

Event line-up included:

  • Captain Avaritia's Carnival of Wonders (The FCSA Theatre Society)

  • Why Am I Like This? (High Heels and Heavy Suitcases Productions)

  • Break Up With Your Boyfriend (Scylla's Bite)

  • Simon Jay: Permacrisis (Simon Jay)

Play Full Open Mic

We hosted our first open mic at Dram in Glasgow on 13th May 2023! The night featured an eclectic mix of performances by emerging local talent.

 

Featuring performers including Lexi Crockford, Jessica Massey, Michelah Desnai, Christie Gourlay, April Scott, Lara Delmage and Lee Ian Moffat.

Scratch Night 2

We headed to The Griffin in Glasgow on 13th April 2023 for our second Play Full Scratch Night. It was another sold out event and offered opportunities for even more creatives.

The night featured work by the following artists:

  • Writers: Dylan Russell, Erin Elkin, Rennie Clark, Sara Masciotra-Milstein, Wren Brian

  • Dramaturgs: Anna Whealing, Emma Lynne Harley, Sarah Marie Mooney, Lintong Zhang, Victoria Giambalvo, Wren Brian

Scratch Night 1

Our first Play Full Scratch Night took place at the Old Hairdressers in Glasgow on 26th January 2023. It was a sold out event and generated a lot of great feedback and conversations. Several of the scenes have gone on to be presented in other scratch nights and other opportunities!
